For myself, I believe that "the chosen people" are those who have been chosen to receive Kabbalah and practise it and yes share its Light with the world.

They are the same souls who were with Moses at Mt Sinai.

I believe that this includes people who are born Jews and those who are not. We've had many lifetimes and those who practise Kabbalah would have done it in their previous ones, as Jews or not.

Further, I also believe that the race, religion or tribes that we're born give us the unique set of circumstances in which to correct our "klippot" or shells of negativity and reveal Light in the world. It's not what makes us the chosen people. It's what we do in our lifetime that defines whether we are chosen or not.

Hope that's not too controversial for you!!

Love and Light,
SharonSharonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07382193586261442655noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8479672740062675835.post-39408471910958067392007-11-15T01:04:00.000+08:002007-11-15T01:04:00.000+08:00Loved the artical. Interesting spiritual biography!
As far as I see it - before we can bring this light unto the nations they (nations) should be ready to accept it.
So first we should make them ready and there is no other way to do so but by natural progress and evolution and Jews always were an engine pushing humankind to move forward in all aspects of life. In these terms we are doing our job, maybe not as good as we should be still a lot has been done and we are close to the second stage.
Aravut,
Alex.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8479672740062675835.post-88345206968984508592007-10-18T22:25:00.000+08:002007-10-18T22:25:00.000+08:00This is fantastic.
